40 Reasons to Attend IHRSA 2021, Part 3

Still on the fence about attending IHRSA 2021 in Dallas? Maybe ten more reasons will make you want to join in on the fun this October.

This year’s IHRSA International Convention & Trade Show (IHRSA 2021), taking place October 13-15 in Dallas, Texas, will mark the association’s 40th anniversary. This summer, we shared 20 reasons to attend (see parts 1 and 2), and here are ten more:

20. Analyze this! Get a view from Wall Street as Kaumil Gajrawala, Managing Director, Equity Research at Credit Suisse will present An Apple a Day: How Wall Street is Thinking about Fitness.

19. Go where the action is. You don’t need to be Dora the Explorer to check out this map! Use it to navigate your journey and explore the products and services offered by more than 200 companies on the 300,000+ sq. ft. trade show floor.

18. Spark Diversity & Inclusion. Regina Wallace-Jones, Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering for MINDBODY will present Diversity & Inclusion: Driving Impact Through Action. This presentation is part of the “Spark: Big Ideas, Powerful Talks” series of sessions.

17. Know your KPI’s. Don’t miss the panel discussion entitled Industry Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Success. Moderated by Eddie Tock, CEO of REX Roundtables for Executives and featuring:

  • Dan Burns, Director, Sport & Fitness, Columbia Association

  • Kathy Rawlings, Owner, The Arena Club

  • Matt Remick, President, Rochester Athletic Club

16. Act like a Diva! Or, more specifically, Diva Richards. Fresh off her cover interview in CBI magazine, the founder of Hard Work No Excuses will be in Dallas to share her expertise and experience on Social Media & Branding in the Fitness Space.

15. Know your Audience. Daniel Krieglstein, Ph.D., Executive Director of Behavioral Design for ClearView Insights will present The Emotional Power of Physical Activity: Leveraging Behavioral Economics to Win New Members.

14. Learn from leading ladies. Female Entrepreneurs: Motivation to Conquer will be presented by these three industry experts:

  • Sara Kooperman, J.D., CEO, SCW Fitness Education and WATERinMOTION;

  • Carrie Kepple, ACE, AFAA, Owner & CEO, Styles Studios Fitness; and

  • Emma Barry, Chief Creative Soul, Good Soul Hunting

13. Attend the IHRSA Foundation Reception. Kick off IHRSA 2021 on Tuesday night by joining the IHRSA Foundation’s board of directors and the IHRSA board of directors at the 4th Annual IHRSA Foundation VIP Reception. You’ll have the opportunity to network with industry leaders while learning about the rewarding and important work the IHRSA Foundation is doing in the international community.

12. Meet the leaders. Get a chance to meet the influential leaders from the Global Health & Fitness Alliance (GHFA), the National Health & Fitness Alliance (NHFA), and the many state and country alliances that have formed over the past year to represent our industry among policymakers and to fund research.

11. Hear from Inspiring Keynoters. Sure, we listed these three stars on our earlier list, but they are so good they deserve another mention. Where else can you see the legendary Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper (sponsored by MXMetrics), best-selling author Diana Kander (sponsored by ABC Fitness Solutions), and business provocateur Scott Stratten (sponsored by Matrix Fitness) all in one place?
