Two Fitness Industry Leaders Nominated for IHRSA Board

    Al Noshirvani, owner of World Gym Clubs of Maryland and Virginia, and J.J. Creegan, senior vice president of operations for Orangetheory Fitness, have been nominated to serve on IHRSA’s Board of Directors.

    BOSTON, MA—April 7, 2022—IHRSA, the Global Health & Fitness Association, announced fitness industry veterans Al Noshirvani and J.J. Creegan as the two nominees for service on its Board of Directors.

    Al Noshirvani is the owner of World Gym Clubs of Maryland and Virginia, which operates three facilities. He is also the co-founder of Motionsoft, a leading provider of software and financial services for the health, fitness, and wellness industry. Motionsoft's award-winning club management software and membership management solutions have helped thousands of distinguished organizations, gyms, and fitness facilities around the world.

    Al is managing director of Integrity Square, a financial advisory and early-stage growth equity firm focused on the HALO (health, active lifestyle, and outdoors) sector. He is also an active member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the National Iranian American Council, and chair of the Georgetown School Hopper Fund.

    J.J. Creegan is senior vice president of operations at Orangetheory Fitness, a boutique fitness studio franchise offering scientifically designed, one-of-a-kind, group personal training workouts broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. J.J. oversees operations, marketing, and performance of all global corporate stores and more than 200 franchised units and influences operations and business strategy across more than 1,400 global locations.

    J.J. formerly held the role of COO for YouFit Health Clubs and led the company’s expansion to over 100 locations in 14 states. Prior to that, he was a regional manager for a group of Planet Fitness locations in South Florida.

    Al and J.J. will stand for election during the IHRSA annual meeting at IHRSA’s 41st International Convention & Trade Show (IHRSA 2022). If elected, they will serve from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2026. IHRSA members are encouraged to register for IHRSA 2022 and attend the annual meeting.
