LOS ANGELES, CA—July 15, 2019—World Gym International, the iconic global brand for bodybuilding and seriously fun fitness, has hired fitness industry veteran Jackie Mendes as the Director of Franchise Sales for North America. Jackie’s hiring is the latest investment World Gym has made to strengthen its franchise efforts in North America.

Prior to joining World Gym International, Jackie was Director at RealRyder International, overseeing all its North American sales as well as marketing, public relations, and education strategies. She has 18 years of experience in the fitness industry launching a variety of fitness and health-related products including fitness videos, DRTV programs, nutritional supplements, commercial fitness equipment and instructor education programs. Jackie holds a B.A. degree in Public Relations from California State University, Fullerton. She also holds a variety of nationally recognized fitness certifications and recently, competed in her first bikini/bodybuilding event.
Over the past few years, World Gym has continued to grow, adding 33 gyms in 6 countries in 2018 alone. World Gym International credits its growth to the strength of the modernized World Gym brand and the expansion of World Gym Athletics, a small group training program available at World Gyms around the globe. World Gym Athletics is now also available for to be franchised as a stand-alone studio, with the first corporate owned studio scheduled to open later this year.
The first franchised World Gym Athletics Training Center opened last year in Chilliwack, British Columbia in Canada.
