Pump up your workout with unique footwear

Men don't understand how women wear them; women sometimes wonder why they put them on in the first place.

That might also be the feelings around Heel Hop, a fitness class that requires attendees to wear some sort of heels while engaging in a workout. Creator Kamilah Barrett says she developed it in order to work the muscles that are worked while wearing heels, and for fluid movement while wearing them.

Of course, this type of class is not unique. Crunch Fitness has Stiletto Strength, which aims to work the legs, abs and back for posture. There are also clubs such as Stiletto Fitness in Kansas City, Mo., and Vegas Stiletto Fitness, which offers instruction in Denver, Las Vegas, St. Louis and several Texas cities.
