Alliance for a Healthier Generation and 24 Hour Fitness to Ring Closing Bell

24 Hour Fitness and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, an organization founded by the American Heart Association and the Clinton Foundation as a response to the growing rate of childhood obesity, will be ringing the Nasdaq Closing Bell today in Times Square as part of Nasdaq’s 4th annual “Fit Week.”

Alliance for a Healthier Generation and 24 Hour Fitness will announce a partnership and launch the Nutrition Revolution 5K, an event series in ten cities across the country that will educate and inspire children and adults to eat healthier and move more in 2015. “Fit Week” runs from January 2-9 and includes bell ceremonies featuring companies that help Americans lead healthier lifestyles. In honor of the occasion, Dr. Howell Wechsler, CEO for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, John Tovar, Senior Vice President, 24 Hour Fitness USA, Inc. and Nadya Kahn, Youth Ambassador for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, will ring the Closing Bell.

In addition to ringing the Opening or Closing Bell during "Fit Week," participating companies will be featured on Nasdaq's Facebook and Twitter pages where they will provide customized tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle in 2015.
