CHICAGO—November 11, 2019—Midtown Athletic Clubs today announced the promotion of Jon Brady to President. Brady joined Midtown in 2013 as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

During his tenure Brady has overseen significant performance gains across the business; growing revenues and profitability with a clear focus on strategic clarity and organizational health. The re-opening of the renovated Chicago Club and Hotel in 2017 was a milestone for the health, fitness and tennis industry, as it set a new bar for others to be measured against.

As President, Brady will be responsible for leading all operational and corporate functions across Midtown Athletic Clubs’ portfolio of eight luxury athletic clubs and urban sports resorts in the U.S. and Canada.

“Jon has helped lead Midtown through one of the most significant periods of our 50-year history,” said Steven Schwartz, CEO of Midtown Athletic Clubs. “Jon has been instrumental in Midtown’s evolution from our legacy of tennis and fitness to launching some of the leading fitness hospitality concepts in the United States. We are all excited for Jon to continue building on his track record of success with our team.”

Prior to joining Midtown’s executive leadership team, Brady served as COO at Aspria, a premier sport and spa facility in Europe. Brady has also served as the regional director at Holmes Place Health Clubs in London U.K. and the CEO of one of New Zealand’s premier professional sports teams at Bay of Plenty Rugby.

A fitness enthusiast, Brady holds a Personal Training Academy Global (PTAG) certification and has received numerous awards for his work with various health and fitness clubs around the globe, including IHRSA Community Club of the Year, Condé Nast Finalist for European Resort of the Year, and GQ Magazine Health and Fitness Club of the Year, among others. He is a graduate of Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
