LOGAN, UT—August 19, 2019—Freemotion, one of the fitness industry’s leading innovators, has promoted former Vice President of Sales, Americas, Chris McGill, to Vice President of Global Sales and previous National Account Manager, Marcy Spaulding, to Director of Sales for North America, as the U.S.-based fitness manufacturer continues to grow.

Chris, who has been with the company collectively for nine years, has been leading sales development successfully in the Americas and will now expand this success internationally. With almost 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, a clear passion for Freemotion’s product portfolio, and a people-centric approach, Chris was the natural choice to take the helm and push for further global success.

Since joining the company in 2016, initially as a Territory Manager for New England, Marcy has consistently demonstrated her ability to help grow clients’ businesses with Freemotion products—utilizing her previous experience as an operator in a career that has spanned over 20 years.

Dan Toigo, Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Freemotion, said: “This is an exciting time for Freemotion as we make strides to expand and strengthen our presence globally. Innovation is at the core of our business, having introduced cable-based strength training 20 years ago, the Incline Trainer and the unrivaled REFLEX Treadmill. Now, we’re accelerating our growth strategy with the right people, coupled with fast approaching new product innovations, that will give the best user experience in the industry through our iFit connected content solution. We have a strong team and we’re confident these are the right people to help drive forward the next phase of Freemotion’s global expansion.”

As a long-serving member of Freemotion’s team, who’s progressed through the company, Chris is relishing the opportunity presented by his new, global role:

“With our range of innovative, industry-leading products, we can offer a full-service solution to anybody, from large multi-site chains to an intimate personal training studio, or a boutique gym, so I’m looking forward to expanding Freemotion’s brand recognition and presence internationally and helping to support health and fitness professionals to grow and enhance their businesses."

Marcy added: “It’s great to be working for Freemotion as we look to push on to the next level. Our plans, pipeline and innovation for the future look like nothing we’ve seen before—it’s phenomenal. I believe we’re entering a golden age for the Freemotion brand and I’m excited to be a part of this journey.”

Earlier this month, Freemotion announced the hires of Apostolos Seintis as Sales Director for Europe and Leopoldo Torres as Sales Director for Latin America. By attracting and retaining some of the biggest names in fitness, it provides more evidence of Freemotion’s vision and ambition for global expansion.

Freemotion is the commercial division of ICON Health & Fitness, a fitness and health company.
