Regional Associations Affiliated with IHRSA
IHRSA has 5 affiliated regional associations. Each is separately incorporated as a nonprofit association of commercial clubs and has its own bylaws, mission, Board of Directors, and Executive Director. Other prerequisites for affiliation with IHRSA are that each:
- Have been active for at least six months;
- Have at least 15 club facilities as regular, dues-paying members;
- Admit as members only clubs which qualify for IHRSA membership and not deny membership to IHRSA member clubs; and
- Support and promote IHRSA standards and programs.
IHRSA recommends that all clubs which are located in the area of a regional association support that organization fully through membership. IHRSA and the regionals, working together, are more effective in meeting the legislative, competitive, and educational needs of clubs than either organization could be alone.
