Listerine PocketPaks - January, 2002
IHRSA clubs in 20 major markets will receive free samples of new Cool Mint Listerine PocketPaks in January, 2002. At least 500,000 samples will be distributed to health club members from the club's front desk. Listerine PocketPaks offer a discreet and portable mouth freshener that kills bad breath and germs on contact.

Nivea For Men - August, 2001
Male members of IHRSA clubs in 6 major markets will be sampling the Nivea For Men Face Cleansing Line. Each sample card that will be distributed contains a Nivea For Men double action face wash, exfoliating face scrub and a sensitive aftershave balm. A total of 20,000 samples will be distributed.

Wheaties Energy Crunch- June 2001
Through IHRSA and General Mills, close to 1300 IHRSA facilities throughout the Untied States participated in the Wheaties Energy Crunch Cereal Sampling Program. Clubs received free sample boxes of the cereal to distribute to their members, along with a coupon for $1.00 off the product. Wheaties Energy Crunch is a delicious medley of honey toasted whole grain flakes, crunchy protein clusters and almonds.

Alldays- June, 2001
Three hundred IHRSA clubs in selected markets will be receiving free samples of new Alldays thong pantiliners for their female members. One hundred additional facilities will be receiving samples in August.

Child Magazine - May, 2001
IHRSA clubs in 20 select markets took part in the Child Magazine sample bag giveaway. The bags featured a variety of products including Max Factor Lipfinity lipstick, Dasani bottled water, Flonase allergy medicine for children, Veggie Tales children's video series, Yumsters yogurt coupons, Nature Valley granola bars and Jovan Individuality perfume.

Trident Advantage Mints- May, 2001
Over 1200 IHRSA facilities throughout the United States participated in the Trident Advantage Mints Sampling Program this May. Five million samples in total were distributed to members at these clubs. Trident Advantage Mints is the first to provide oral care benefits in a great tasting mint.

DHC USA, Inc. - April, 2001.
One hundred IHRSA clubs in 5 major markets will receive 500 free DHC sample sets to distribute to their female members. Each set contains DHC mild soap, DHC mild lotion and DHC olive virgin oil, along with a highly popular DHC deep cleansing oil that gently and effectively removes any type of makeup.

Lubriderm Lotion- April, 2001.
Nearly 100 IHRSA clubs throughout Canada will be sampling Lubriderm Lotion Advanced Moisture Therapy this Spring. Both scented and unscented varieties of the product will be distributed. One thousand samples will be go to female members at each health club. Lubriderm lotion helps those who lead an active lifestyle take care of their skin.

General Mill's Harmony - February, 2001.
After a highly successful October program, General Mill's Harmony cereal quadrupled the quantity for a nation-wide sampling program in February. Samples will be distributed to female members at nearly 1,000 participating IHRSA health clubs. Harmony is an innovative new cereal developed to meet women's nutritional needs.

Clif Bar's Luna - January, 2001.
Clif Bar Inc., the makers of Luna Bar, provided IHRSA clubs in six major markets with 120,000 free samples of Luna bars for their female members. Luna is a great tasting, whole nutrition bar for women.

Cosmopolitan Magazine - November, 2000.
IHRSA member clubs in the Atlanta, New York City and San Francisco markets will be participating in this exciting sampling program. Each club will receive 250 gift bags containing various products such as Lever 2000 soap, Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion, Band-aid brand bandages, Nutrigrain bars, Balance bars and Special K cereal.

Health Source - September, 2000
Health Source, a division of Ross Labs, will be distributing 1,000 free
samples of their new, great-tasting nutritional bars to IHRSA clubs in Oregon and Washington. These bars are geared toward women 35-to-55 who are proactive about their health and positive about their lives. Promotional flyers and coupons will also be distributed.

Olay Daily Facials - September 2000
As part of a national, new product launch, IHRSA clubs in 17 major U.S. markets will receive free quantities of Olay Daily Facial Cleansing cloths samples for distribution to female health club members. These specially-textured cloths contain facial cleansers and conditioners to remove dirt, oil and mascara.

Healthguard - September, 2000
IHRSA clubs will be providing a 30-day guest membership to purchasers of the Healthguard Health & Fitness Card launching this Fall. Consumers who purchase the $49 Card will receive a variety of additional health and fitness benefits, including discounts at retail, publications, and offers for home fitness equipment. The card will be promoted on WebMD, in 6,000 pharmacies across the US, and through retail partners in the promotion.

Child Magazine May, 2000.
Child Magazine distributed sample bags to IHRSA clubs in 20 U.S. markets. The bags contained childcare products and coupons from a variety of companies, such as Gerber, Dove, 3M Nexcare and Viactiv. Sample bags were distributed to members from the clubs nursery/daycare center when the member dropped off their child prior to working out.

Theragran - January-June, 2000.
On Sunday January 16, 2000 Theragran Heart Right distributed 40 million free standing advertisements in newspapers throughout the country. These ads promoted Heart Right's new "heart healthy" vitamin and offered significant discounts for consumers to purchase the product. Consumers also have the opportunity to purchase a "Heart Right Start Right Kit". These kits contain a variety of fitness-related items, including a fitness video, a fitness magazine and a certificate for a 10-day guest membership at a participating IHRSA club.

Two hundred IHRSA clubs in California received 1,000 free Hansen Smoothie and/or Super Smoothie samples, as well as a supply of Hansen brochures containing discount coupons for club members to purchase Hansen Smoothies and/or Super Smoothies at retail.

Dr. Scholl's - March/April, 2000.
Dr. Scholl's offered IHRSA's U.S. clubs, money saving coupons for a variety of Dr. Scholl's products as well as free samples of either Liquid Powder or Deodorant Powder Odor Destroyers.

IHRSA clubs in 10 major U.S. markets, received approximately 125 copies of the "Casting ColorSpa Brochure", along with a coupon for a free box of L'Oreal Casting ColorSpa Haircolor to distribute to new female members.

The Advocare International Shootout - November 1999-January 2000.
IHRSA facilities nationwide hosted the Advocare International Shootout. This event is the largest amateur basketball competition in existence, specifically focussed on shooting. The Advocare International Shootout celebrated its fourth year and was free of charge for IHRSA clubs.

Foster Farms - October, 1999.
Twenty-thousand brochures and coupons were distributed through IHRSA clubs in the metropolitan San Francisco market. These brochures contained a coupon valid for one free Foster Farms microwavable entree, redeemable at retail locations carrying Foster Farms products.

Vogue Magazine - October, 1999.
IHRSA member clubs in the metropolitan Atlanta market took part in a Nioxin Shampoo sampling program, compliments of Vogue Magazine. Each participating club received 1,000 Nioxin samples to distribute to their members.

Smint - October, 1999. In May 1997,
IHRSA and Smint signed an exclusive, to distribute one million samples per year of their power breath mint. This program represented the final 500,000 Smint samples in the second year of the agreement. Smint distributed 500,000 samples to IHRSA clubs in Arizona, Colorado, Washington and Oregon.

New Balance - September, 1999.
In June of 1998, IHRSA and New Balance Athletic Shoe created a joint marketing program to promote the New Balance brand through IHRSA clubs. This fourth phase of the program with New Balance entailed distributing brochures focusing on strength training and cardiovascular exercise, along with a $10 discount coupon off New Balance products redeemable at local Athlete's Foot stores.

Glamour Magazine, on behalf of its advertiser Dr. Scholl's sampled Dr. Scholl's lotions to health club members in the New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago markets.

For McCall's Magazine, June marked the beginning of an 11 market sampling program in IHRSA health clubs which featured Pond's Soothing Eye Treatment pads, a popular remedy for swollen, puffy eyes.

IHRSA member clubs in 20 markets received sampling kits featuring a variety of products from Ladies' Home Journal advertisers including Bayer, Excederin, Kleenex, Cottonelle, Mentadent and Nutrigrain.

Family Circle Magazine - June, 1999.
Eight thousand free Mentadent toothbrushes and oral care brochures were distributed through IHRSA member clubs in the Boston and Chicago markets compliments of Family Circle Magazine.

Curad - May, 1999.
Over 500 IHRSA member clubs received 1.5 million free samples of Curad's new Extreme Lengths Bandage as well as coupons for 55 cents off the retail cost of this product. IHRSA clubs in every major market participated in this national program.

Smint - April, 1999.
IHRSA clubs participated in the Smint sampling program, which distributed over 500,000 mint samples to participating health clubs. Free Smint mints were shipped to the clubs in quantities of 1,200, 2,400 and 3,600 samples along with promotional materials.

Balance Bar - March, 1999.
Over 500,000 Honey Peanut Balance Bar samples and discount coupons were distributed to health club members through IHRSA clubs in 10 major U.S. markets.
