Reebok Sports Club La Finca has a homey feel

Reebok Sports Club La Finca is unlike most in Spain. With an open and airy concept with many fields, courts, pools and spaces to do more than lift weights or take part in a class, those witness it should certainly see the at-home feel.

The club is just north of Madrid.

And when you aren’t working out or breaking a sweat, there is a spa, hairdresser, coffee shot, restaurant and more. There is no shortage of things to do in order to spend your entire day there. You can even get back on the field or court quicker following an injury with the Sports Medical Center.

Read on to see what else Reebok Sports Club La Finca has to offer.

Many new offerings at Reebok Sports Club Serrano

Those who are attending the IHRSA European Congress in a couple weeks in Madrid will have the opportunity to tour a few of the local health clubs to see what their peers have to offer.

One of the stops is Reebok Sports Club Madrid, Serrano, where if it wasn’t for what is inside then the city views would easily be the highlight of the space.

A new fitness room is now available for the many classes, many of the Reebok branded. Also relatively new is the Technogym ARTIS equipment, which allows members to use the interactive console to keep track of training programs, data, apps social media and more. And, the club can keep the member abreast with message systems.

There is plenty to see in Madrid

So, you are headed to Madrid for the 13th Annual IHRSA European Congress and you have some extra time on your hands. Of course we don't expect anyone to spend all of their time in Meliá Castilla, where the event will be held.

No need to Google, go to Trip Avisor or pull out your Fodor's "Spain." We at IHRSA have compiled areas in nine different categories you should consider visiting while in the capital of Spain.

Tour Fisico while at European Congress

One of the extras that is part of an IHRSA convention is seeing local clubs on a tour.

Of course it is great to get out of the convention and trade show area, but more importantly a club tour gives you a first-hand view of how your peers’ facilities look and run.

For the European Congress, running Oct. 17-20 in Madrid, one of the tours will be at fisico. The 10-year-old club already sports more than 7,000 members.

Fitness Coordinator Belen Gonzalez said he is more excited to show those on the tour the six classes the club offers and the fitness area they are held. He also thinks those checking out fisico will most be impressed with the size of the gym and the variety of activities offered.

Join like-minded colleagues at IHRSA European Congress

IHRSA has chosen yet another spectacular locale to host the European Congress. And while Madrid, Spain, has so much to offer, really, it is all about what is inside the Meliã Castilla hotel.

The 13th Annual IHRSA European Congress will offer the normal IHRSA event highlights, like excellent general session speakers, thought-provoking educational sessions, discussing on trends in the industry, networking opportunities and tours of nearby clubs.

The event, which runs Oct. 17-20, 2013, is expected to attract around 400 from the industry.
