Get in the zone with Immersive Fitness by Les Mills

Les Mills’s The Project is a six-city tour, which started in London in late May, that is promoting its latest offering – Immersive Fitness.

Inspired by rock concerts and the United Nations World Humanitarian Day, The Project uses 3D visuals, ramification and interactivity to create a unique fitness class experience and environment. Those who participate in these classes are in a state of mind called “in the zone” - fulfilled, timeless and focused.

The origin of Immersive Fitness was in 2009 when Les Mils commissioned Nielsen Research to study the past, present and future of group fitness.

Reebok is the long-term partner of The Project.

Heaven’s on fire for Snap Fitness

Snap Fitness’s newest promotion certainly won’t have you rock ‘n rolling all night and partying every day. But it may make you shout it out loud.

It can definitely help you get in shape. And, there is a chance to meet the two leading members of one of the most iconic bands in music history.

Snap Fitness and Los Angeles KISS, a new Arena Football League team, have teamed up in 4th and Loud Workout: Get off the Sidelines. LA KISS quarterback J.J. Raterink and Snap Fitness trainers have produced a four-week fitness program, available for free at www.snapfitness.com or the Snap Fitness YouTube channel.

In addition to the workout, there is a sweepstakes that will see the winner flown to Los Angeles to take in a game and meet Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS.

Iraq vet becomes trainer to help others

An Iraq War veteran is not letting his injuries and bad memories of his service deter him from helping others who may be suffering.

Brandon Corrales was 19 when a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the vehicle he was riding in. He suffered second-degree burns.

Back home in Arizona he became a certified personal trainer, through the American Council on Exercise. He currently only has one client but he is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in fitness/wellness, where he plans to design and administer fitness programs.
