The numbers are in, and they look mighty nice: 11,000+ industry professionals; 7,000+ convention and trade show attendees; 81 countries represented; and 372 trade show exhibitors.

Of course this was what we have announced as the final tally from IHRSA 2014 33rd Annual International Convention & Trade Show, held March 12-15 in San Diego.

Everyone involved in putting it together, sponsors and advertisers, and attendees had a wonderful time and felt it was one of the best, if not the best, in 33 years.

“I really enjoyed this event and got so much to take home with me,” said Anna Rounaja, owner of Liikuntakeskus Hukka in Oulu, Finland, attending her third IHRSA Convention. “I am definitely attending again next year, and would strongly suggest anyone not hesitate to take the trip next year to Los Angeles!.”

The event featured an energy filled trade show, enlightening general session speakers, informative educational sessions, and plenty of opportunities to network, make new friends and catch up with old friends.

IHRSA 2014 also recognized three members with awards, kicked off the new #WhyGetActive campaign, and featured the Global Leadership Summit, Financial Panel, Women’s Leadership Summit and BASH for Augie’s Quest.

A pair attend the Opening Reception.“I extend my sincere gratitude to each and every attendee, exhibitor, sponsor, and presenter for their dedication to this great industry of ours, and to their commitment to help people across the world live happier, healthier more active lives,” said Joe Moore, IHRSA president and CEO.
