Home workouts got a little better with the Life Fitness Track+ Console.

The home cardio equipment console is compatible with Apple and Android operating systems. Users can track workouts using popular apps.

Track+ is part of the Life Fitness LFOpen, which works with, and remains up-to-date, with new fitness apps.

In addition to tracking workouts, with Track+ users can personalize workouts, use Apple devices to control program and gauge fitness levels.

GoodLife Fitness CEO on Powerful Women list

GoodLife Fitness Chief Operating Office Jane Riddell was named to the Women’s Executive Network’s 2013 Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Awards list.

“Jane has been with GoodLife for over 30 years. She has been my partner in developing our business from the ground-up,” said David Patchell-Evans, GoodLife Fitness founder and CEO, on the GoodLife blog. “I firmly believe that the sign of an exceptional leader is someone who shares their knowledge and experience with others. Jane has devoted countless hours towards mentoring and growing our team of leaders.” 

Riddell has been in the fitness industry for more than 30 years. In 2012 she “played” a Zumba instructor trainee, maintenance worker and salesperson during an episode of “Undercover Boss Canada.”

New Zealand fitness awards

The New Zealand Fitness Industry Awards was announced last week and a there was a tie for the Personal Trainer of the Year Award.

Micah Lindsay-Brown, from Cityfitness Blenheim, and Greig Rightford, from Les Mills Wellington, shared the honors.

Lindsay-Brown said it was “an awesome occasion that recognizes an industry and the people who change countless peoples lives ultimately making (New Zealand) a fitter, healthier, stronger and more positive country to live.”
