IHRSA Getting to the gym just got easier
Along with the numerous people who will join the gym as part of their New Year’s resolution there are just as many who want to but won’t.
Why? Two words: gym intimidation.
Those who are inexperienced at the ellipticals, gym floor and group classes often have a hard time getting over it. One good way to overcome the fear is to go to the club with an experienced friend who will show you the ropes. Of course, most clubs will give you a tour and tutorial when you join.

It is easy to make resolutions. We all know that. The key is keeping them.
Luckily we live in a technology that can assist us. The are many apps on the market that do just this, like keeping track of resolutions, workouts, reminders and accomplishments.
The iFit running app tracks your runs via GPS, voice prompts, a metronome to help you keep your pace, and plays music to keep your workouts interesting.
