Next IHRSA webinar delves into member retention and customer service

In our business it is extremely important to be on top of member retention. With so many options out there for the consumers – some of them not even belonging to a gym at all – keeping those who help pay the bills happy is paramount. 

There are many ways to increase retention:  customer loyalty, strong customer service, offerings the competition doesn’t have, and more. 

The next IHRSA webinar, on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., will help those who have seen the retention rates fall, or never had very high numbers to begin with.

Michele Melkerson-Granryd, general manager at BodyBusiness Health Club & Spa at Davenport Village in Austin, Texas, will lead, “Creating Member Loyalty with Service Excellence,” sponsored by Cybex. Among the subjects she will be covering is developing the culture of loyalty in your club, hiring and training the right people to carry out your culture, engage your members, and more. 

Melkerson-Granryd is the perfect person to lead the webinar. She has 30 years experience, directing sales, customer service, group fitness, personal training, child care and corporate fitness. 

Webinars are $39 for IHRSA members, $79 for non-members.
