Airports contributing to a healthier America

For those travelling, if the trip is somewhat lengthy then that is two days where you may not get in a workout.

Many airports are trying to help in that area with designated, measured walking paths and even rooms for yoga available. Some airport hotels with gyms will allow travellers to use their facility.

With a 30-minute workout suggested each day, often that amount of time during a layover is wasted reading a paper from an unknown city.

Nike video game Kinnects

The fitness video game industry is still in the infant stages. So there are many hits and misses.

The Nike+ Kinnect Training has changed some things up from when it showcased it at the Electronics Entertainment Expo in June, and many are giving it a much better review than previously.

All along the brand was looking to separate itself from some of the big names in the industry, like Xbox. How Nike+ Kinnect does this is by putting out a product that caters to the hardcore fitness junkie as well as the person who is looking to shed pounds and get in shape.

Material Girl to open Rome gym

There is talk that Madonna has been house shopping in Italy’s capital city. So it is not surprising that the Material Girl’s Hard Candy Fitness is opening up a location in Rome, too.

The venture is a partnership with Dabliu, a local fitness network, and will be the fitrst of many in Rome.

The facility will be around 13,000 square feet – about five times as large as most clubs in the area.

“Hard Candy Fitness Rome will showcase the brand’s unique fitness approach and luxury atmosphere in one of the most historic, famous neighborhoods in the world,” Hard Candy Fitness VP Mike Apple said in a statement.

50 Cent shows what works “In Tha Club”

In the early 2000s it was pretty near impossible to not see 50 Cent’s abs and think, “How did he get those?”

Now, Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent, has a new fitness book, “Formula 50,” that explains how he got so fit. It is a six-week workout that uses what has worked for him for years, metabolic resistance training, among other exercises.

He says that changing up your workout is key to getting in shape and toning your muscles.
