Convention speaker's book half off

The theories that brothers Chip and Dan Heath used to base their two books can easily be translated in the health and fitness industry.

From ideas that work (Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die) to what can be done for the ones that do not (Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard), the Heaths have it covered.

“With respect to the industry, clubs are really struggling to get those 85% of Americans who don’t work out in a club,” said Chip Heath in a 2010 interview with IHRSA. “If you want to broaden your market, you want to look at a typical person - not the people with finely toned bodies who are already clear on their fitness goals. You want to look for the engineers, accountants, and lawyers, who don’t have beach bodies, but still manage to show up three times a week. If you figure out what they’re doing, that will show you how to bring in the rest of the engineers, accountants, and lawyers.”

In Switch, the Heaths show how everyday people have united both the rational and emotional minds to achieved dramatic results. They bring together decades of counterintuitive research in psychology, sociology, and other fields to shed new light on how we can affect transformative change. Switch shows that successful changes follow a pattern, one you can use to make the changes that matter to you, whether your interest is in changing the world or changing your club and helping your members.

The IHRSA Store is currently selling Switch for half price. Just use the use the promo code HALFOFFHEATH.
