If the Oak Brook Racquet & Fitness Facebook page is any indication of what it’s like to be a member or an employee, then the best word to describe the suburban Chicago club is fun.

From the Spring Fling Tennis Mixer to nights out at Chicago Blackhawks games, the vision statement, Play, Train, Relax, sums it up. Even the About Us page on its website explains that it is more than a place to break a sweat: “OBRFC is a tennis club, a fitness club and a social club.”

The 2,200-member club is about involving its members and staff to dictate where it will go next. It is a strong proponent of social media to gets its news to its members and then to share its events after they happen.
