Kevin Foley Get Involved in Joining Forces and Help Military Families
Last week Michelle Obama announced a new partnership including Let's Move!, IHRSA and the American Council on Exercise (ACE) called Joining Forces. The partnership exists to provide military families with free health club memberships.
Here's what one health club owner has to say about the program:
"Good Job IHRSA for being involved with Joining Forces!
Last year our Idaho National Guard received notice that they would be activated and Apple Athletic Club offered their spouse and children a free membership. It was extremely well received within the community and appreciated by their families. We also became involved with “Our Military Kids” to provide specific training classes for their children.
God Bless our troops and many thanks for all they do."
Ray Gordon, Membership Manager
Apple Athletic Club
Your health club can get involved by pledging to give away free memberships to the families of deployed reservists and National Guard members. You'll be improving the quality of life for the families of our military members and making a positive impact in your community. If you have any questions about the program, consult our FAQ page on HealthClubs.com.
