It's that time of year again when prospects, New Year's resolutions fresh in their minds, will show up at your front door. The only question is: will they last?

IHRSA Chairperson Art Curtis argues the key to success in 2011 is to work with these prospects, offering encouragement and support. If they have a successful 2011, so will your club.

In order to succeed, [new members] are going to have to come to the club regularly and exercise appropriately. To make that possible, we, as operators, need to do everything within our power to counter every excuse and eliminate every barrier that might impede them.

Curtis offers a more in-depth view of the "key to success in 2011" in the January issue of Club Business International magazine. If you don't get the magazine or you just want to read it now, check out Curtis' advice to club owners in 2011.
