ChinaFit/IHRSA China Management Forum concludes on a high note

Simon Flint at the 2013 ChinaFit/IHRSA Management Forum.Simon Flint, CEO Fitness First Asia Pacific, spoke on the final day of the 2013 ChinaFit/IHRSA China Management Forum. He discussed culture building on a panel with Chinese fitness industry leaders, sharing their success stories. Forum attendees also visited Impulse Fitness in Nanjing, China. 

The Forum brought the Chinese Industry Leaders together for some challenging discussions on how to grow the fitness industry in China. It was sponsored by Technogym, Precor, G-Plate, Active Lifestyle and Sui-sheng Fitness.

The panel discussion on the final day.The Management Forum generally attracts investors and senior executives of clubs and management companies; international fitness and wellness professionals; fitness departments of real estate corporations and chain hotels; physical therapy, yoga and Pilates practitioners; and sports officers in China. The event ran Nov.12-15 in Nanjing City, China, and brought fitness industry professionals from Southeast Asia and beyond together to discuss new ideas, trends and opportunities.

First day of ChinaFit/IHRSA conference energetic

Keynote speaker Brent DardenThe first day of the ChinaFit/IHRSA China Management Forum saw 250 leaders from the Chinese and Asian club industry meet in Nanjing, China.

Keynote speaker was Brent Darden, IHRSA board chairman, while Simon Flint (CEO, Fitness First Asia Pacific), Hervey Lavoie (president, Ohlson Lavoie), Colin Grant (CEO, Pure International) and Andrew West (director, Kerry Sports) joined IHRSA Asia-Pacific Director John Holsinger on the panel discussion with the Chinese Leadership on issues of importance to the industry in China.

The energy was high and very positive for the future of the industry in China.

China Fit/IHRSA forum is fast approaching

The 2013 ChinaFit/IHRSA China Management Forum is less than two weeks away.
