Fitness Days sees 10,000 'Czech' out area clubs

More tham 10,000 Czechoslovakians seeking a chance to visit a fitness center for free took advantage of Fitness Days.

Ceska Fitness Komora (Czech Chamber of Fitness) organized the weekend-long event on Sept. 20-22 as part of Czech on the Move, a way get more people active by opening the doors of participating fitness clubs. More than 200 clubs took part.

"We noted most interested people among utter newcomers who were in this environment for the first time. We attended to them and they all could try out new fitness trends such as AntiGravit Yoga, Move It and Pump. The event was a tremendous success," said Daniel Fekl, manager of Fitness 14 in České Budějovice.

Czech clubs to open doors for three days

Ceska Fitness Komora (Czech Chamber of Fitness) is organizing an event next month that hopes to get more people active by opening the doors of participating fitness clubs.

Fitness Days, as part of Czech on the Move, runs Sept. 20-22, and the clubs that register will provide its services to the public for free.

By signing up for Czech on the Move and Fitness Days, which is free, the clubs will be part of a registry of fitness professionals for a year. They will be able to promote their business, be a place where interested parties go to search for services and more.

Ceska Fitness encouraged by latest conference

Hans Muench, IHRSA director of Europe, gave the keynote presentation on the link between medial and fitness sectors.

"Me and our board members, we have really good feeling about the conference as well, so hopefully we will really move forward at least few small steps!," said Jana Havrdova, executive director of the association.
