Different Educational Formats at IHRSA 2015

Anthony Barqisseau, CEO of Genae Club, presents during the first IGNITE in 2013.You have a very busy schedule day to day. Yet, you know that you need to learn more about some areas of your business. You could stand to hear some best practices from other club operators and compare notes. But taking the time away seems like a stretch. If you do it, you want to make sure that it’s worth it.
IHRSA understands that.

Each year, IHRSA offers a variety of learning formats - all geared toward sophisticated active business professionals who need to get to the bottom line quickly. And want to enjoy themselves in the process. You’re sure to find your learning style at IHRSA 2015 in Los Angeles, March 11-14.

Perhaps you tend to get bored in a typical seminar setting. Instead, you may enjoy having a dozen ideas thrown at you rapid fire … to energize you and stimulate your thinking.

Or, you’d like a more traditional format, a session run by an expert, where you can sit, take notes and contemplate.

You’ll find these formats - and everything in between at IHRSA.

IGNITE!, for example, is a fast-paced, 75-minute event where selected speakers prepare 20 slides, each shown for 15 seconds, giving all presenters five minutes of fame. IGNITE! presenters share their personal and professional insights on a host of wide-ranging topics that can be informative, innovative, humorous, or just plain fun!

The Educational Tutorial program brings smaller groups of attendees together who are facing the same challenges in their day-to-day operations. The discussion is led by a business executive or industry professional who facilitates practical “solution discovery.” These groups are limited in size to maximize interaction.

If you look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones, then the Networking Roundtables, a favorite among long-time IHRSA attendees, are for you. Facilitated by a moderator, these discussions provide participants with the chance to connect and share knowledge and ideas on a variety of vital topics.

If you’re looking to get up to speed in a particular area, then the educational sessions, which have been organized into 10 Educational Tracks, would be best. For your convenience, each session is noted with its respective code(s) in the IHRSA 2015 brochure.

New products … that’s what on your mind. Then, attend any of the half- and full-day workshops and Supplier Seminars, presented by a variety of IHRSA Associate members who are also exhibiting at the Trade Show. At these you’ll dig deeper to really understand new products and programs—so you can determine if they’re right for your club and your members.

Come to IHRSA and learn. You’ll come home equipped to take on the world - and the competition.
