Weymouth Club's Commit to Get Fit spreading throughout community

Weymouth Club, in Weymouth, Mass., joined Genavix, a health facilities partnership that promotes healthy lifestyles one year ago.

One of the programs Weymouth Club is prmoting is the 90-day Commit to Get Fit. In the 12 months more than 150 people took part, with results of weight loss of 30-35 pounds and individuals getting off medications.

Now the local community is getting involved - 10 companies have signed up.

“Companies are motivated to create a healthier work force,” said club Executive Director Jeff Linn. “Their productivity increases and their health costs go down when their people are healthy. “The 90-Day Commit to Get Fit program that the Club runs is an avenue these companies are looking for to create the healthy work force they are hoping to achieve.”
