Minnesota's exercise incentive is not dead

FIT Minnesota - the coalition of health clubs promoting increased activity in the state - is continuing to work toward the enactment of a financial incentive for Minnesotans to exercise.

During the 2014 session, FIT Minnesota successfully re-introduced legislation that would allow employers to deduct up to $600 per year and employee, for employee health club memberships. Neither the state house or senate passed its version of the bill prior to the session's May adjournment, however, advocacy in support of the proposal is far from over.
