San Diego club offers complement to workouts

It may look like a prop from the 1960s sci-fi series "Lost in Space" but a device that is suppose to lead to quicker muscle recovery has found its way to San Diego's The Sporting Club.

Cellular Fitness is different air pressure levels that squeeze and relax the body - including blood and organs - at a cellular level. It is used to complement workouts.

"The unique environment is believed to stimulate the lymphatic system, which then drains metabolic waste more vigorously, thereby reducing inflammation leading to improved recovery, reduced muscle fatigue and soreness and more impactful workouts," according to a press release.
