Anytime Fitness contest looks for stories of achieving goals

Anytime Fitness has launched a contest that will give $10,000 to a winner, as well as someone or a group of the winner's choice.

My Anytime Story seeks personal stories - words, photos and/or video - that explain how participants are achieving fitness goals with the assistance of Anytime Fitness. The application also asks how they would give $10,000 to improve the lives, health-wise, of others if they win.

There will be $1,000 weekly winners from April 22-June 17, with the grand prize winner announced June 30.

"What we're trying to do is break down the barriers to healthy lifestyles for as many people as possible," said Stacy Anderson, chief marketing officer for Anytime Fitness.  "Our ultimate goal is to gather and share hundreds of inspirational stories about real people taking control of their own health.  We'll post those stories online and, hopefully, others who see them will be motivated to make similar changes in their own lives."

Participants can ask friends and family to vote for their story, via social media or e-mail.

Visit the My Anytime Story page on the Anytime Fitness website.
