New rules in collection agency business

Gym owners, like many other business, have to resort to collection companies when a member defaults on a contract.

First Credit Services, a collection partner to the health and fitness industry and a third-party company whose opinions and content may not reflect that of IHRSA, has published rules in the collection business.

Among the items in the piece is the Bureau for Consumer Financial Protection, collection agencies must have a full-time compliance manager, and state bonding and licensing.
