Spectrum Athletic Clubs raise $40,000 for Augie's Quest

As we all know with Life Fitness co-founder Augie Nieto, ALS, also know as Lou Gehrig's Disease, doesn't spare the healthy.

Toni Brown, a former spin instructor at Spectrum Athletic Club's South Bay location in Southern California, was also diagnosed and is confined to a wheelchair as well. For two days in May friends, colleagues and fitness enthusiasts gathered to help fight ALS.

Prior to the "Getting Down With Toni Brown" fundraiser, the Toni Brown Studio was unveiled at the Spectrum where she worked, much to her surprise. Then, the two-day event that was held at all 12 locations and was open to members and non-members, raised $40,000. The money will go to Augie's Quest.
