North Carolina's tax reform deal will not include health clubs' levy

North Carolina's Senate chambersAfter months of debate, with information provided by IHRSA, North Carolina lawmakers passed a tax code overhaul late last week that will be music to the ears of the health and fitness club industry in the Tar Heel State.

House Bill 998 will expand North Carolina’s sales tax base, however, it will not impose the tax on health club dues and services.
