David Lloyd Leisure adding expanding volleybody and padel tennis

UK-based Fitness operator David Lloyd Leisure has announced investments in volleybody and padel tennis coaching.

The 90-plus club chain was the first major UK club group to bring padel to the UK. It recently announced that Tom Murray, Britain's second-ranked padel player, has been appointed padel manager to oversee a newly expanded padel program.

David Lloyd Leisure will also be the first club company to launch volleybody classes. Volleybody is an hour-long group exercise class inspired from core beach volleyball moves: defending, hitting and blocking a ball.  Volleybody was launched by the UK volleyball strength and conditioning coach, Kate Eddy, and UK 2012 Olympic team members Zara Dampney and Shauna Mullin.
