IHRSA welcomes new members of the IHRSA Board of Directors

This year, Bill Beck, right, owner, operator and president of Club Fit, Allison Flatley, Chief Operating Officer for L&T Health and Fitness, and Rasmus Ingerslev, left, from Denmark, CEO of the low cost health club group Fresh Fitness and Wexer Virtual were elected.

Bill Beck is owner, operator and president of Club Fit, a two club enterprise located in Westchester County New York.

Bill’s career began just after his graduation from college with a BS degree in Sports Medicine.  Inspired by watching family and friends suffer with chronic diseases, brought on by poor diet and lack of physical activity, Bill has been committed to providing his members and the surrounding community with a better quality of life through exercise and movement.  He takes pride in seeing that proper nutrition and exercise are increasingly viewed as important components of personal health care, but believes we have a lot of work to do with regard to motivating more people in the community to embrace all of its benefits.

Allison Flatley is the Chief Operating Officer for L&T Health and Fitness.  She is a 25-year industry veteran, 22 of those years with L&T.  She holds a BS in Exercise Science and MS in Health and Sport Studies.  Allison is an adjunct professor at The American University in Washington, DC teaching health promotion management for the past 15 years; a former Mid-Atlantic Club Management Association board member and past President; and a President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports Community Leadership Award winner.  She just kicked off her 12th season as a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run and her second season as a youth volleyball coach; Allison will run her 12th marathon this year

Rasmus Ingerslev from Denmark is CEO of the low cost health club group Fresh Fitness and Wexer Virtual. He is a fitness industry entrepreneur and the founder of two of the top health club groups in his country. Rasmus competed on the Danish National Karate Team and is co-founder of the Danish Fitness & Health Organization.  In support of IHRSA, he has been a speaker and facilitator at multiple international events as well as part of IHRSA’s European Council since its inception.
