24 Hour Fitness founder considering buying NBA team?

A giant in the health club industry may soon become a King.

Mark Mastrov, founder of 24 Hour Fitness and a partner in Madonna's Hard Candy Fitness, met with Sacramento Kings and city officials in a secret meeting on Monday that most residents of the capital of California hopes will result in keeping the professional basketball team in their city.

“He is a man of integrity. He’s a family man with great values. He’s a local man. He’s everything this community is looking for in a potential owner,” said Phil Oates, one of 20 local businessmen who have pledged $1 million each to keep the NBA squad right where it is.
