New device combines music and fitness technology

There are numerous fitness technology devices out there that monitor pratically anything you want - workouts, runs and physiological information, to name a few. Many can share your information with other programs or can post on social media sites. And if you want reminders or inspiration, that can be found, too.

One drawback, however, is that you have to wear an additional devices on your person - usually something that looks like a bracelet or wristwatch. You add your music and you have much more hanging off of you or clipped on than you prefer.

The new Iriver ON combines your music and fitness technology into one device. It has built-in earbuds, so it is something that you normally have while you work out. Vital statistics like your heart rate, distance and calories burned will be sent to your smartphone.

For more on the iriver ON, due out in March, check out the CNET story.
