Is fitness industry 'recession-proof'? Some think it is

As long as people become more and more sedentary, fitness clubs and gyms will continue to be popular, especially when it has become harder to find places to go jog or bike ride. But as far as being recession proof, thats a tough call as many will put food and gas before a gym membership.
