Top 5 reasons to fill out the IHRSA Health Promotion Census

The IHRSA Health Promotion team is conducting a survey of our members' health promotion programs to find out what they are doing in the fight against obesity and chronic disease. This information will enable us to speak as a cohesive unit about the health promotion initiatives of our members.

Read on for the top 5 reaosns why you should fill out our survey today!

1. Win money! You could win a $250 American Express card. Who doesn’t want the chance to win some money?

2. You’re better than your non-profit competitors. Americans tend to believe that non-profit fitness centers are more focused on health promotion programs. But, of course, we know that IHRSA members across the country are offering first-rate health promotion programs. Tell us about the awesome stuff your club is doing in the fight against obesity and chronic disease.

3. Help IHRSA Battle bad State legislation. Sometimes when budgets are hurting, state legislators will propose short-sighted ways to address budget shortfalls - like taxing health club memberships - rather than focusing on the long-term fiscal health of their state and physical health of their state residents. Give the public policy team the data they need to promote health clubs as a key source of health and wellness and a contributor to reduced health care costs to your state legislators.

4. Help us promote YOU. If you don’t toot your own horn, who will? When IHRSA knows about your health promotion programs, we can promote you as a health and wellness resource. Your program could be profiled in program materials, such as the Get Active America! Program Guide, and featured on our website or blog.

5. Give yourself an edge. Prevention and health promotion are a big topic right now. Do you have a dietitian on staff conducting nutrition programs? Or a physician exercise referral program? What about a comprehensive weight loss program? Tell IHRSA what you’re doing, and we can provide you with guidance and resources to help you use your health promotion programs to attract new members and increase revenue.

*Note: if you do not check the consent box on the survey, we will not use your information for any promotional initiatives.
