NYC Working Hard to Improve Physical Activity of New Yorkers

The U.S. city known for being constantly on the go is ramping up efforts to get residents exercising more, according to the National Physical Activity Plan.

The City of New York has taken a three-prong approach and 1) initiated a bike-sharing program to encourage “active transportation,” 2) issued an executive order to incorporate active design in city construction, and 3) honored twenty-four elementary schools that have created physical activity-friendly environments. Read more about it here.
