Should Lack of Exercise be Treated as a Medical Condition?

Mayo Clinic physiologist Michael Joyner, M.D., argues that deconditioning should be treated as a medical condition, given that a sedentary lifestyle is a common cause of obesity, which is a significant risk factor for chronic disease. His commentary is published this month in The Journal of Physiology.
