Clinton Announces Fitness Collaboration

According to the, Former President Bill Clinton is lending his voice to the fight against childhood obesity by speaking on behalf of the Fit for a Healthier Generation Campaign, which seeks to expand access to physical activity for American children.

Specifically, he recognized the nation’s healthiest schools and presented them with awards. “Less than 4 percent of elementary schools, 8 percent of middle schools, and 2 percent of high schools provide opportunities for daily physical education," said President Clinton, in a press release. "By bringing together some of the leading experts on physical activity in the country, we can show the benefits of living fit and help kids lead healthier lives." The campaign is led by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, which President Clinton co-founded.
