Sen. Udall: Don’t Stop Investing in Americans’ Health

“If we don't invest in our health now, we will pay dearly for it — sooner rather than later,” wrote Colorado’s Senior Senator, Mark Udall, in the Denver Post last week.

In this compelling op-ed, Udall urges Americans to continue to efforts to promote regular exercise and proper nutrition. “At a time when we must rein in the excess spending associated with our nation's health care system, we cannot ignore the fact that rising increasing obesity rates will only make the current situation even worse…We have set ourselves on the path to reverse these troubling trends, but we still have a way to go. Let's keep up efforts to…increase education, nutrition and health-conscious habits among all Americans.” Udall also explains several legislative initiatives he has undertaken to reduce childhood obesity and physical inactivity.
