PEP Grants Now Available

IHRSA is pleased to announce that Carol M. White Physical Education Program (PEP) grant applications are now being accepted. PEP grants will be awarded to schools and community-based organizations to initiate, expand, or enhance physical education programs. But this isn’t solely an opportunity for schools.

Club operators desiring to work with their local schools to develop new programs that will help children develop a passion for regular exercise and healthy lifestyles should not hesitate to partner with those schools or local community organizations to help obtain a grant. It is a great way for clubs to demonstrate that they are a valuable resource for community wellness and prevention.

Grant recipients must implement programs that help students make progress toward meeting state standards for physical activity. Funds may be used to provide equipment and support to enable students to participate actively in physical education activities. Funds also may support staff and teacher training and education.
