IHRSA CEO & President to Attend White House Briefing on Childhood Obesity

IHRSA President and CEO, Joe Moore is scheduled to attend an official White House briefing to share ideas on how the private sector can come together to help young people be more physically active. The briefing will be presented by Robin Schepper, Executive Director of Let’s Move!, and other senior administration officials.

“I look forward to the briefing and discussing how health clubs are an important resource,” says Moore. “Today, health clubs serve more than 4.8 million members under the age of 18—including 1 million between 6 and 12 years old, and just over 3 million between 13 and 17. So health clubs have an important role to play in the fight against childhood obesity.”
